Intermodal transport companies are offering a wide range of daily rail connections between maritime terminals and main Italian and European markets (in 2007 over 300,000 teu have  been transported by the group intermodal companies thanks to over 3,400 operated block trains). Contship Italia Group is also offering value added logistic services: container freight station, break bulk, equipment maintenance & repair, inland terminal management, customs services and groupage through directly controlled companies.

Contship Italia Group is engaged in the development of sustainable logistics looking at quality of employee’s work environment and the territories where it operates. The use of rail transport as a business strategy contributed in saving around 300 millions kilos of Co2 emission in the 2004-2006 period.
