Balancing Environmental Challenges with Economic Demands

Taking full responsibility for the effect their activities has on the environment, is just one of the key challenges facing the Ports, Terminals, Shipping, Transportation and Logistics sectors today. Indeed, there is growing recognition that their initiatives to maintain commercial growth and viability whilst supporting innovative environmental protection measures can be greatly enhanced through dialogue, information exchange and the sharing of Best Practices.

The GreenPort Journal contributes to this process by bringing together the opinions, agendas and ideas from a wide range of Owners, Operators, Suppliers, Stakeholders and Customers with their shared aim of developing their businesses in an environmentally sustainable and responsible way.

The GreenPort Journal covers all activities that directly or indirectly impact on the Environment, including:

- Health, Safety and Security measures
-  Energy and Resource management
-  Investment, Planning, Infrastructure and Development
- Dredging and Construction
- Warehousing and Storage
- Equipment, Technology, Systems and Solutions Procurement
- Regulatory Compliance and Implementation
- Management processes and Corporate administration
- Ship Management and Ship/Shore interface
- Road and Rail transport links
- Cruise and Passenger procedures
- Collaboration with local government, the local community and other Ports

So, published five times a year and distributed worldwide, every Issue will reflect the latest trends and opinions, offer invaluable insights and provide in-depth analysis to Port and Terminal CEO’s, Engineers, Environmental  and Health/Safety Managers and Harbour Masters;  Environmental bodies, NGO’s and Regulators.

Complementing the monthly online news bulletin “GreenPort News” and the GreenPort website, the GreenPort Journal will carry interviews, features, case studies and analysis. It will encourage its readership to exchange ideas and environmental initiatives, compare Best Practices, drive up operational standards, and challenge the status quo.
